Months before his 2019 arrest, Jeffrey Epstein recruited veteran communications executive John Pinette to help rehabilitate his public image, according to newly released Justice Department documents. The financier flew Pinette to his Palm Beach estate in March 2019 as federal prosecutors were building their sex trafficking case.

Pinette previously led communications for Pershing Square and represented Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates through his firm Voxus. His involvement suggests Epstein sought high-caliber crisis management talent as legal pressures mounted. The PR executive's work for Epstein reportedly included media strategy and reputation consulting.

The documents reveal Epstein's aggressive image-rebuilding efforts even as investigators uncovered evidence of his trafficking network. Pinette's participation marks another instance of elite professionals engaging with Epstein despite his 2008 prostitution conviction, raising questions about accountability for those who enabled his operations.
