BioMar Group A/S, a fish-feed producer, surged in its debut trading on Thursday, marking Copenhagen's largest initial public offering since Netcompany Group A/S listed in 2018. Shares opened at 114 Danish kroner ($17.71), up 5.6% from the offering price of 108 kroner per share.

The IPO priced at the top of its range, raising 2.7 billion kroner primarily for its owner Schouw & Co. A.S. The strong debut reflects investor confidence in the aquaculture feed sector, which has gained importance as global demand for sustainable seafood alternatives increases.

Denmark's IPO market shows renewed vigor with BioMar's successful listing, signaling improved conditions for companies seeking capital. The company's valuation now stands at approximately 2.7 billion kroner, positioning it as a significant player in the growing aquaculture industry.
