Dat Viet VAC Group Holdings, producer of some of Vietnam’s highest‑rated television programs, is pursuing an initial public offering as it looks to replicate the success of South Korea’s entertainment giants. The company plans to offer more than 11.15 million shares at an initial price of 54,800 dong each from Aug. 5 to Sept. 7. Following the IPO, its charter capital is expected to exceed 1.1 trillion dong, valuing the company at about 6.1 trillion dong ($232.5 million) based on the IPO price.

The move signals Vietnam’s growing ambition to emulate the Korean model, where firms such as CJ ENM and SM Entertainment have leveraged aggressive public listings to fuel rapid expansion. Dat Viet VAC’s strategy hinges on packaging its popular shows for global audiences, using the capital raise to fund content production and digital distribution. Investors are watching closely, as the company’s valuation would make it one of the largest media entities on the Vietnamese market, potentially reshaping the industry’s landscape.
