Indonesia's sovereign wealth fund Danantara will remit 120 trillion rupiah ($6.8 billion) from its profits to the government this year to support the state budget, Finance Minister Purbaya Yudhi Sadewa announced on Friday in Jakarta. President Prabowo Subianto approved the amount after it was proposed by Danantara, Sadewa said to reporters.

The additional funds have not yet been included in the latest budget outlook, but may be classified as non-tax state revenue, which could help narrow this year's fiscal deficit, according to Sadewa. The transfer represents a significant injection of capital into Indonesia's public finances.

Danantara, established as Indonesia's flagship sovereign wealth fund, continues to play an increasingly prominent role in the nation's economic strategy. The remittance underscores the fund's growing influence and President Prabowo Subianto's broader efforts to stabilize fiscal conditions amid global economic pressures.
