Wooting has officially announced the 80HE+ gaming keyboard, featuring a split space layout and numerous upgrades. The new model and the Lekker Large knob will be available for pre-order starting September 17, with shipping expected in mid-October. Pricing remains consistent with the current 80HE line, though the module has become slightly cheaper and now includes a daughterboard for custom builds. A key durability improvement sees zinc case models now more robust, addressing previous coating issues. The preassembled zinc model now ships as standard with the 4u Lekker Large knob.

The 80HE+ introduces the latest Lekker Tikken switches as standard, offering a more stable feel and muted sound. A new FR4 plate provides a firm bottom-out with minimal bounce. The split space bars are available in a 2.75/1.25/2.25 u configuration, adding flexibility for both gaming and typing. Notably, split spaces are exclusive to the 80HE+ module at launch and are not available on the pre-built keyboard. The black ABS version has been redesigned, combining a translucent top case with an opaque black bottom. The Frost colorway is now available as a fully assembled option. The full list of upgrades includes new Lekker Tikken switches, the FR4 plate, and a refined sound profile.
