BlockChance Bitcoin Miner: Solo Mining for $49.97

Bitcoin mining typically brings to mind specialized hardware, substantial power, and large operations. The BlockChance Bitcoin Ticket Miner, available for $49.97 (MSRP $149.99) through Sept. 10, takes a smaller, probability-driven approach. It generates mining "lottery tickets" instead of steady fractions of Bitcoin.

The tradeoff: the chance of mining a full block is extremely low. The device offers a 1,000 KH/s hashrate, about 18 times higher than typical ticket miners. Its estimated probability is roughly one in 930 million per block, one in 6.5 million per day, and one in 17,800 annually (about 0.0056%).

Actual results vary with network difficulty and hashrate. The desktop miner runs official, license-free NMMiner firmware, connects via Wi-Fi, and features a 2.8-inch touchscreen showing hashrate, ticket submissions, pool details, and real-time stats. It supports Wi-Fi and BLE, with over-the-air updates and free lifetime firmware upgrades.

The device operates silently and uses less electricity than a light bulb. It's not for earning Bitcoin reliably, but for enthusiasts and tinkerers to experiment with solo mining and understand its improbability.
