Brighton fight back to draw with Leeds at Amex

Leeds were made to pay for countless missed chances as Brighton fought back to claim a 1-1 draw at the Amex Stadium. Jayden Bogle ended Leeds' long wait for a goal at Brighton with a close-range tap-in after Ao Tanaka kept the ball alive following Bart Verbruggen's save. In the first half, Dominic Calvert-Lewin missed a one-on-one, had a header cleared off the line by Lewis Dunk, and saw Tanaka hit the bar.

After the break, Tanaka had an effort ruled out for offside and Anton Stach was denied by Verbruggen. Brighton grew in confidence, with Malick Yalcouye, Charalampos Kostoulas, and Luka Vuskovic all going close before Vuskovic headed home from a corner. Promise David fired over and Pascal Gross missed from four yards.

Leeds' expected goals tally of 2.66 underlined their wastefulness as they left with just one point.
