The Dallas Cowboys restructured the contracts of veteran defensive tackle Kenny Clark, cornerback Da Ron Bland, and tight end Jake Ferguson, creating over $19 million in salary cap space. This maneuvering provides flexibility as the 2026 season begins or allows the club to carry over unused space to 2027. Earlier this offseason, the team converted Clark's $11 million roster bonus into a signing bonus.

Now, his $8.8 million base salary has been reworked, adding $1.5 million to his 2027 cap number. Similarly, Bland's $12 million base salary and Ferguson's $7.25 million base salary were converted into signing bonuses. Bland's cap number will increase by $2.15 million over the remainder of his deal, while Ferguson's will rise by $1.2 million.

These adjustments are purely accounting tools and do not alter the players' weekly paychecks. Since March, Dallas has also restructured deals for quarterback Dak Prescott, wide receiver Cee Dee Lamb, and guard Tyler Smith, along with right tackle Terence Steele and safety Malik Hooker, to maximize roster flexibility.
