Goldman Sachs Asset Management and Charlesbank Capital Partners-backed My Eye Dr has agreed to acquire the optometry division of Partners Group-backed Eye Care Partners, for undisclosed terms. The division has more than 300 offices, operating under the Clarkson Eyecare, Eye Care Associates, Eye Care Center, Nationwide Vision and The Eye Doctors brands. The brands will join My Eye Dr’s existing portfolio.

My Eye Dr, which is part of Capital Vision Services, provides comprehensive eye care and eyewear. Based in Vienna, Virginia, it was founded 25 years ago and operates across 29 states and Washington, DC. The company is led by co-founder and chief executive Sue Downes. The acquisition will expand My Eye Dr’s ability to serve more patients and communities.

It will also support long-term investment in doctors, associates and patient care. My Eye Dr plans to use its larger scale to bolster its clinical research work and grow centers of excellence for common eye diseases. Eye Care Partners, based in St. Louis, Missouri, provides clinically integrated eye care through a national network of ophthalmologists and optometrists. Its affiliated practice locations span 18 states. The transaction is expected to close in the fourth quarter of 2026.
