Swift Key beta is rolling out a new AI voice typing mode similar to Google's Rambler feature on the Pixel 11 series. The feature cleans up and formats speech automatically, removing filler words and producing properly formatted text, though it doesn't show a live transcription while you speak.

The latest Swift Key beta for Android, version 9.13.16.4, introduces the new "AI voice" typing mode. After tapping the microphone icon, users can speak naturally while Swift Key listens and displays a waveform. Once finished, the AI processes the speech into formatted text. Before using it, users must download an AI voice model of around 163MB.

Unlike Google's Rambler, Swift Key's AI voice typing isn't Pixel-exclusive and works on any Android smartphone, including the Galaxy Z Fold 8. The feature works completely offline, unlike Rambler which requires an internet connection. However, Swift Key's implementation currently lacks some Rambler features like changing tone, further text formatting, or auto-inserting emojis through voice commands.
