Samsung has started the stable One UI 9 update for the Galaxy S26 series, beginning in South Korea before expanding globally. The rollout follows seven beta builds over nearly five months, allowing Samsung to refine the software and fix bugs. The September security patch is included with the finished release.

One UI 9 introduces AI-powered features like My Fan Cam, which keeps a chosen person in focus while reframing video for different aspect ratios. Now Brief cards are now more customizable, and Now Nudge provides contextual suggestions. Security improvements include Security Brief, which surfaces malware warnings and privacy risks.

Enhancements also target Interpreter, Document Scan, Voice Recorder summaries, and overall device care. Samsung positions the update as a integration of AI, camera, and security tools into everyday tasks rather than a singular headline feature. The company says One UI 9 will eventually be available to more Galaxy phones and tablets.

International users should monitor Settings > Software update > Download and install as the rollout expands to other markets.
