Motorola has unveiled the Signature 27, its first smartphone powered by Qualcomm's new 2nm Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6 chipset. The device is the second generation in the Signature lineup and adopts a new naming scheme using the final two digits of the coming year.

To handle the performance, Motorola introduces the Arctic Mesh cooling system, combining diamond-infused thermal gel with a redesigned 3D vapor chamber. It promises around 40% better thermal performance than the previous generation, especially during sustained AI workloads, gaming, and video recording.

The quad-camera setup includes a 50MP Sony LYTIA 910 main sensor and a massive 200MP periscope telephoto camera. A new video enhancement engine uses AI for real-time adjustments, while Qualcomm's image stabilization with 3.5-degree hardware OIS ensures smoother video. Audio is upgraded with Audio by B&O, a first for Motorola.

The Signature 27 comes in two finishes: Pantone Cool Smoke with a woven texture and Pantone Capulet Green with a softer finish. Pricing, release date, and availability are not yet announced, but the phone is expected to launch in markets worldwide later this year.
