At Apple's “Surprise and Shine” event, the company confirmed that the new Siri AI will launch in English this month, with five additional languages arriving in October. The rollout coincides with the release of iOS 18 on September 14, as detailed by Apple's VP of AI Product Marketing, Lilian Rincon.

Rincon also noted that some features will have usage limits due to reliance on powerful server models, with increased access available through most iCloud+ plans. Apple's Craig Federighi previously shared that Apple Intelligence will support 16 languages in total, including English, Chinese, Danish, Dutch, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Norwegian, Portuguese, Spanish, Swedish, Turkish, and Vietnamese.

However, Apple Intelligence and Siri AI will not be available in China, though the company is working to bring the features there. The EU also faces delays due to regulatory concerns with the Digital Markets Act.

The event also introduced new hardware, including the iPhone Duo, iPhone 18 Pro, iPhone 18 Pro Max, Apple Watch Series 12 Ultra 4, and AirPods 5 with Active Noise Cancellation.
