Developers can now submit apps built for iOS 27 and Apple's other new operating system releases, ahead of their official rollout next Monday. During yesterday's 'Surprise and Shine' event, Apple confirmed that iOS 27, iPadOS 27, macOS 27, tvOS 27, visionOS 27, and watchOS 27 will launch on September 14. Today, Apple announced that developers can download Xcode 27 Release Candidate and submit apps and games built with the latest SDKs for approval.

Apple reminded developers that macOS 27 will only support software built for Apple silicon, with macOS 26 being the final release supporting Intel Macs. Additionally, Apple urged developers to prepare App Store listings with new age rating questions and updated product page templates. Finally, Apple reaffirmed that starting April 2027, all apps must meet minimum SDK requirements for each platform.
