VinFast Auto Ltd. chairman Pham Nhat Quan Anh will become global chief executive officer, replacing his father and billionaire founder Pham Nhat Vuong, as the Vietnamese electric-vehicle maker pushes aggressively into international markets amid growing losses. Quan Anh was appointed chairman of VinFast in May and will now assume overall responsibility for the automaker's global operations, according to a statement from parent company Vingroup. He will continue to serve as chairman and CEO of its Vietnam business.

The leadership transition comes as VinFast accelerates its global expansion strategy while facing mounting financial pressure. The company, backed by Vietnam's largest conglomerate, has been investing heavily in overseas manufacturing and sales networks, including a factory in North Carolina, as it competes with established EV makers. Quan Anh's elevation signals a generational shift at the helm of Vietnam's first global automotive brand.
