ASX Ltd. CEO Anthony Attia is reshaping the Australian bourse's leadership team by appointing Keir Barnes as its next chief financial officer and broadening the scope of clearing and settlement operations. Barnes, who currently serves as CFO of Dexus, is scheduled to join ASX after mid-December pending completion of her term at the property manager. Dexus confirmed the appointment in a filing on Monday. Outgoing ASX CFO Andrew Tobin will remain in his role until Barnes begins and will assist with a smooth transition, according to a separate ASX statement.

The changes reflect Attia's ongoing efforts to strengthen governance and operational capacity at Australia's primary stock exchange operator. Barnes brings extensive financial and real estate experience from her tenure at Dexus, one of Australia's largest listed property trusts. The expanded clearing and settlement function signals ASX's focus on enhancing post-trade infrastructure amid growing market volumes.

ASX has not yet disclosed further details regarding the clearing director role or additional leadership adjustments. The appointments come as the exchange continues modernizing its technology platforms and regulatory reporting systems following years of scrutiny over its clearing operations.
