Blackstone's flagship retail credit fund BCRED has capped investor withdrawals at 5% of shares outstanding for a second consecutive quarter, turning away roughly half of redemption requests. The fund, valued at $42.8bn as of 30 June 2026, operates under a standard quarterly limit with requests met pro rata when they exceed that ceiling. In Q2, BCRED fulfilled approximately half of the $4.5 billion requested for repurchase, leaving a backlog of $2.3 billion in unfulfilled requests.

Investors who sought liquidity in Q2 and Q3 received an estimated 75% of their requested capital within approximately 90 days. The fund maintains an investment portfolio valued at about $77.6bn with roughly $35.3bn of debt and $17bn of available liquidity. While strain is visible in the portfolio's average mark of 95.4 cents on the dollar and rising non-accruals to 2.4% at cost, Blackstone frames the cap as a design feature rather than distress.

BCRED reported a 9.0% annualised total net return for its Class I shares since inception in 2021 and pays a 9.1% annualised distribution rate.
