The DP World Tour has confirmed its 2027 schedule, moving the Irish Open to 1-4 July to accommodate the Ryder Cup at Adare Manor on 17-19 September. The tournament, won by Shane Lowry at Doonbeg last week, previously shifted to September in 2023 but returns to its summer slot. Next year's event will be held at the K Club, positioning it before the Scottish Open and Open Championship during a critical European Ryder Cup qualifying window ending at the British Masters on 22 August.

Rory McIlroy confirmed he will play but acknowledged field strength may be affected by the Scottish Open the following week. "The Ryder Cup's in Ireland next year and something had to give," he told BBC Sport NI. Consequently, the BMW PGA Championship at Wentworth will follow the Ryder Cup, pushing the French Open to 7-9 September.

The 42-tournament season spans 24 countries, starting with the Australian PGA Championship in Sydney on 26-29 November and concluding with the DP World Tour Championship in Dubai on 11-14 November 2027. Returning events include the Hong Kong Open, Singapore Open, and Open de Portugal.
