Forest Green Rovers have granted manager Robbie Savage permission to speak to other clubs, amid reports of interest from Peterborough United. The National League side confirmed Savage would not be in the dugout for Tuesday’s home match against Wealdstone. When asked about contact from Posh, Savage did not deny the speculation, stating he was focused on preparing his team.

Appointed on 1 July 2025, the former Wales international previously managed Macclesfield Town. The 51-year-old midfielder, who played for Derby County, Birmingham City, Leicester City and Blackburn Rovers, led Forest Green to seventh place last season, losing in the play-off eliminators. This season, they sit 12th after 10 matches.

Peterborough are seeking a new manager after sacking Luke Williams on 19 September. The League One club currently ranks 23rd with one win in eight games.
