Former Manchester City goalkeeper Joe Hart trusts chairman Khaldoon Al Mubarak's claims that the club are innocent of breaking the Premier League's financial rules. Hart, who won two Premier League titles and other trophies with City, said there is "nothing concrete" and it is a matter of letting things "play out." His achievements are not tarnished.

Hart stated: "If Man City are found guilty, which I don't think they are because of what Khaldoon said, then there's conversations to be had. But right now I'm very confident and very, very calm." The 39-year-old remains proud of what he achieved with the team.

City face accusations of inflating sponsorship revenue from connected companies and making "off the books" payments. Hart said it hasn't crossed his mind to discuss the news with former team-mates, as he "can't get involved in the ifs, buts and maybes." He reflected on his playing days: "I know what I did, I know what we did, and I know how it happened. It didn't feel like we were scheming or plotting."
