Hull City have condemned the 'abhorrent racist abuse' directed at new signing Robinio Vaz following his transfer announcement on social media. The post announcing the 19-year-old French striker's season-long loan move from Roma has been deleted after attracting discriminatory comments. Hull confirmed they are working with Humberside Police and other authorities to identify those responsible.

The club stated no individual should face discriminatory abuse and pledged full support for Vaz. Hull emphasized its zero-tolerance policy toward discrimination, noting communication with the Premier League, Kick It Out, and social media platforms. Head coach Sergej Jakirovic called the abuse 'disastrous' and 'unacceptable,' questioning why perpetrators hide behind fake accounts.

Jakirovic added the club is supporting Vaz, who does not yet speak English, with French-speaking staff, and affirmed he is settling in well. The loan deal includes an option to buy Vaz at the end of the season after his one Serie A goal last campaign.
