Search is a browser with nothing in the way. A row of tabs and the page. No toolbar, no start page, no sidebar of suggestions, no account to sign into. It uses WebKit, the engine inside every Mac, so the app is about 3 MB and opens instantly. Built by a design studio tired of browsers that had become products; this one is a tool.

One field: type an address and you go there; type words and you search. It finishes addresses from your own history and never sends what you type anywhere until you press Return. Tabs stay out of the way. Pin pages and they shrink to a letter or icon. Reading mode strips a page down to the article. Hide cookie banners, newsletter overlays, and "related" nonsense permanently. An ad blocker runs before the page, stopping third-party trackers at the network level. Video follows you with picture-in-picture. Passwords live in the macOS keychain, encrypted by the system, readable only by Search. Bring passwords from Chrome, Arc, Dia, Brave or Edge in one click. Chrome extensions work via WebKit's extension engine. Updates itself quietly once a day, verified by Office Commun.

On purpose: No extension needed to feel at home. No sync, no account, no cloud. No telemetry, no analytics, no crash reports. Only pages you request, icons, and one daily check for updates leave your Mac. One window; tabs are the only kind of "new."
