itel spent weeks teasing its new A300C model and it is finally go time. This is a rugged-but-affordable Android 16 Go Edition phone – it costs ₹11,000 and comes with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage. That isn’t much, of course, but the phone supports micro SD cards up to 2TB, so you can add as much storage as you like.

The phone has a MIL-STD-810H certification (it has been drop tested). However, it lacks an official dust and water resistance rating. On the plus side, itel offers a free screen replacement for the first 100 days after you buy the phone.

The itel A300C has a 6.56” 90Hz 720p+ LCD and a MIL-STD-810H certification The itel A300C has a 6.56” LCD with 720 x 1,612px resolution and 90Hz refresh rate. There is a 5MP selfie camera in the screen’s notch, while the camera on the back has an 8MP sensor. It may not be huge, but the 6,000m Ah battery is bigger than usual for a cheap phone.

It supports 18W charging over USB-C. There’s also a 3.5mm headphone jack on board and a speaker with DTS sound. The fingerprint reader is built into the Power button.

The itel A300C has a 6,000m Ah battery with 18W charging The A300C is powered by the Unisoc T7100 chipset, which is also used in the similar itel A90. As mentioned above, it runs Android 16 Go Edition. The important spec here is that the modem only does 4G connectivity.

That’s mostly okay as India hasn’t set an official 4G cut-off date yet, but carriers are focusing on their 5G networks right now, so a newer chipset would have been nice. Still, we can’t complain given the ₹11,000 price tag. Especially since there is a charger and a case in the box.

The itel A300C will be available through itel’s retail outlets across India and online.
