Acer has unveiled the Vero 16 laptop, engineered for repairability with removable port covers, a detachable external hinge, and a tool-free bottom latch. An exterior engraving marks the battery and motherboard locations, simplifying service and upgrades. The chassis meets MIL-STD-810H standards and uses low-carbon aluminum. Both the battery and SSD are user-replaceable, and Acer promises processor upgrade support for at least two generations.

The Vero 16 can be configured with up to an Intel Core Ultra X9 processor 388H, 32GB of RAM, and 512GB of SSD storage. It features a 16-inch 3K OLED display, a 71Wh battery, a 5MP IR camera with privacy shutter, SD card reader, HDMI 2.1, and dual Thunderbolt 4 USB-C ports. Marketed as a Copilot+ PC, it includes Windows Studio Effects, Cocreator, and Click to Do.

The laptop launches early next year in Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA) only; U.S. pricing and availability are unannounced. Acer also refreshed its Swift line: the Swift Air 16 (up to Intel Core 7 350) arrives in most regions by early 2027, while the ultra-light Swift Blade 14 (1.76 lbs, 0.5-inch thick, up to Intel Core 7 350) debuts in December in EMEA.
