The WTA Finals will be staged in Charlotte, North Carolina from 2027. The season-ending event for the top eight singles players and doubles teams will be held at Spectrum Center, home of the NBA's Charlotte Hornets, from 2027-2029.

This year's WTA Finals take place in Indian Wells, California in November after the controversial deal to stage the event in Saudi Arabia ended a year early. Since Singapore 2014-2018, the event has been at six different venues.

"Our ambition is for the WTA Finals to be not only the premier championship in women's tennis, but one of the defining global events in women's sports," said WTA chair Valerie Camillo. "We want to create the Super Bowl for women's sports."

"The WTA has always owned the WTA Finals, but now going forward, we're going to operate it too," Camillo added. The WTA is also relocating its global headquarters to Charlotte.

"This is a transformational moment for Charlotte and for our organization," said Will Pitts, CEO of the Charlotte Sports Foundation.
