Arsenal missing X factor for Champions League

Arsenal's record last year was amazing in the Champions League, and they'll be there or thereabouts again. However, I don't think they bought that X factor signing to take them to the next level.

They have enough to win the Premier League with their squad, but the forward line against the big boys is missing that little ingredient. If they had a Vinicius Junior or Julian Alvarez, that would give them the edge to win the Champions League.

I'm a big fan of Kai Havertz; he works hard and makes the right decisions, but he's not going to score 20 goals a season. For the Premier League title, he's a top-drawer player, but in the latter stages of the Champions League against Bayern Munich or Paris Saint-Germain, defenders aren't worried about him.

Maybe Bukayo Saka provides that X factor, but they haven't got enough. Last year, they were close to winning the Premier League, and they've kicked on again. Their squad is immense, but they need a real superstar to get a shot off against top teams. They're dominant at the moment, but in the new Champions League format, they need to win quickly. Napoli away is a hard game, but they're beatable, so I don't expect Arsenal to lose.
