Team USA proved 'the standard' again with a 5th straight women's FIBA World Cup title, defeating France 97-79 on Sunday. Breanna Stewart, who earned MVP honors for the second time, led the Americans. Despite a 14-point deficit in the first half, the U.S. rallied behind Caitlin Clark and Jackie Young.

The Americans improved to 9-0 in gold medal games since 1983. France secured its best-ever finish in the tournament. Breanna Stewart and Caitlin Clark led the U.S. attack.

Dominique Malonga and Gabby Williams led France. Spain won bronze over host Germany.
