Bain Capital Tech Opportunities has made a minority growth investment in Kahua, an AI enterprise construction platform, at a valuation above $1 billion. The investment comes after Kahua reached $100 million in annualized revenue. The funding will support Kahua’s next phase of growth, including continued investment in AI and product innovation, go-to-market, customer success and talent development.

Kahua is headquartered in Alpharetta, Georgia, and was founded in 2009. It is led by co-founder and chief executive Scott Unger. The platform connects the people, processes and data behind a capital program in one configurable system, acting as a system of record for owners and delivery teams across the asset lifecycle.

It targets highly regulated and mission-critical sectors including federal government and defense, transportation, healthcare and education. Kahua serves more than 2,500 customers and supports more than $400 billion in capital programs on its platform.

“Kahua has built the technology backbone for owners and delivery teams, connecting critical data across the full asset lifecycle—from funding and planning through construction and long-term operation,” said Philip Meicler, partner at Bain Capital Tech Opportunities.
