Apple is holding a new photography exhibition in New York City this weekend to showcase the iPhone 18 Pro camera. Running from September 18 through September 20 at 456 West 18th Street, Apple's "What Holds Us" exhibition features work from photographers Alex Prager, Jack Davison, and Jimmy Chin, each using the iPhone 18 Pro to explore the "people, places, and ideas that connect and ground humanity." The exhibition was curated by Kathy Ryan, former director of photography for The New York Times Magazine, and highlights the iPhone 18 Pro's new camera system, including its variable aperture.

Chin's work focuses on the Bugaboo Mountains in British Columbia, where he photographed climbers against the landscape. He said the resolution and sharpness surprised him, allowing him to shoot close-ups or massive panoramas and trust they would hold at size.

Jack Davison took a more intimate approach, photographing people interacting with clay and chalk inside a former sugar warehouse in London. He was blown away by the camera's quality, calling it a huge leap in creating artistic and surreal images, and praised the ability to switch lenses, use slower shutters, and shoot RAW.

Alex Prager created large-scale crowd scenes on a soundstage in Los Angeles, combining wide overhead shots with tighter portraits. She noted that photography has changed, and this camera is more like a video stream, shaping how we approach images today.
