Centerview Partners has hired Bennett Schachter to lead its capital advisory practice. Schachter, a longtime banker who joined Elliott Investment Management in 2022, brings extensive experience in public and private capital markets. Prior to Elliott, he spent 25 years at Goldman Sachs Group Inc. and Morgan Stanley, where he led alternative and capital solutions businesses.

His appointment comes as capital flows shift toward private markets and artificial intelligence infrastructure. Schachter previously worked on special purpose acquisition companies at Morgan Stanley and spent over two decades at Goldman Sachs in capital markets leadership roles. Centerview co-founders Robert Pruzan and Blair Effron praised his ability to deepen client service and expand strategic financing offerings.

This month, Centerview advised private equity firms Apollo Global Management Inc. and KKR & Co. in raising €3 billion euros in equity capital from insurance-based funds for a Bayer AG joint venture. The firm also advised Apollo on a $1 billion investment in Starwood Real Estate Income Trust and Dollar Tree Inc. on a share repurchase. Additionally, Centerview advised Sixth Street on a $1 billion minority structured equity investment in Edge Conne X and Advance Auto Parts Inc. on the sale of its Worldpac unit in 2024.
