Hamburg are in advanced talks to sign Arsenal midfielder Fabio Vieira in a 10 million euro (£8.6m) deal, with the Gunners pushing to offload the 26-year-old before Tuesday's transfer deadline.

There is growing expectation at Emirates Stadium that an agreement with the German side will be reached. Vieira spent last season on loan at Hamburg, making 29 Bundesliga appearances and scoring seven goals, which has paved the way for a permanent move.

The Portuguese midfielder joined Arsenal from Porto in 2022 for £34m but struggled to establish himself. He made 47 appearances for the Gunners, though only five were Premier League starts. Vieira was loaned back to Porto during the 2024-25 campaign before his spell at Hamburg last season.
