His fastest touchdown (20.8 mph) was a 29-yard scamper. Williams was sharp as nails as a thrower, going 21-for-29 with 269 yards and two passing touchdowns in the Bears' 59-37 win over the Panthers. For the second year of the Williams-Ben Johnson pairing, it was a strong start.

The Bills' 21.2% explosive play rate was the highest ever achieved vs. the Texans' defense under coach De Meco Ryans. After all the offseason excitement, the Texans' defense surrendered 36 points in a season-opening loss to the Bills. Explosive plays were the primary culprit, with nine completions of 16-plus yards and two runs of 12-plus yards. Josh Allen added a 21-yard scramble for an early touchdown. Such was the case on DJ Moore's 43-yard touchdown.
