KKR is expanding its European footprint with a new Milan office, led by infrastructure partner Marco Fontana relocating from London and Nicolò Della Casa directing private equity activities. The US private equity giant continues its localization strategy across the continent, with client solutions team members joining to support the growth of private wealth business in Italy.

Co-CEOs Joe Bae and Scott Nuttall view Italy's focus on strengthening economic foundations as creating conditions for long-term investment. The firm's existing Italian portfolio includes FiberCop, Europe's first wholesale-only open-access fiber network, biofuels business Enilive, and sustainable packaging company CMC, demonstrating KKR's commitment to the market.

Mattia Caprioli and Tara Davies, co-heads of KKR EMEA, describe the Milan opening as "a natural step" in bringing more people into key markets. This expansion allows KKR to deepen engagement in Italy while connecting it to the global platform, strengthening the firm's private equity presence in one of Europe's most dynamic economies.
