KKR exits CIRCOR Aerospace in $2.55bn sale to Parker Hannifin

KKR is cashing out on its aerospace bet. The buyout firm agreed to sell CIRCOR Aerospace to Parker Hannifin for $2.55bn, marking a solid return on a business it separated from CIRCOR International two years ago. Parker Hannifin will acquire the aerospace division while KKR retains the Naval and Industrial businesses.

KKR took CIRCOR private in 2023 for $1.8bn through its North America Fund XIII, breaking up the broader CIRCOR International platform into focused business lines. That ~41% gain on the aerospace unit demonstrates the strategy of carving out specialized divisions before selling them at a markup.

The transaction is expected to close in the second half of 2026, subject to customary regulatory approvals. KKR's exit here shows the payoff of that breakup strategy, turning a fragmented platform into sellable pieces that attract strategic buyers like Parker Hannifin.
