Capital has acquired UK-based Phoenix ME, a specialist in designing, installing, and commissioning mechanical and electrical systems for complex, mission-critical projects. The firm plans to deepen relationships with existing clients, expand into mainland Europe, and grow its service offering through organic growth and acquisitions. Phoenix works with blue-chip contractors and end customers across the UK and Europe, with significant exposure to data centres and life sciences.

John Harper, a managing director at H. I. G.'s London office, said the end markets are expected to see rapid growth in the coming years.

The deal brings capital and a partner without ceding day-to-day control to the Phoenix team.
