Victor Wembanyama delivered a spectacular performance with 39 points, 15 rebounds and five blocks as the San Antonio Spurs edged past the Minnesota Timberwolves 115-108 on the road to take a 2-1 lead in their Western Conference semi-final. The French star scored nine of the Spurs' first 11 points during an explosive 18-3 opening burst, and his late three-pointer and clutch free throws sealed the victory despite Anthony Edwards' 32-point, 14-rebound effort.

In Philadelphia, Jalen Brunson's 33 points powered the New York Knicks to a 108-94 win over the 76ers, giving them a commanding 3-0 series lead. The Knicks erased a first-quarter deficit to lead 60-52 at half-time. Quentin Grimes trimmed the margin to four points in the fourth quarter before Brunson, Mikal Bridges and Josh Hart combined to close out the victory for the Eastern third seeds.

Both best-of-seven series resume on Sunday. The Spurs are seeking a third consecutive win to move within one game of the Western Conference final, while the Knicks can clinch their series and advance with one more victory.
