England captain Zoe Stratford, Women's Rugby World Cup winner Tatyana Heard, and 35-cap England back row Sarah Beckett will leave Gloucester Hartpury at season's end. The trio departs the three-time reigning champions after helping transform the club from mid-table contenders to domestic dominance. Stratford, currently pregnant, joined in 2017 while Heard is sidelined with a foot injury.

Stratford expressed gratitude for her nine-year journey, calling it "a crazy journey" from mid-table to champions. Heard, 31, aims to bid farewell with another title despite missing the Women's Six Nations. Both thanked fans and teammates for making their time "unbelievably memorable." The exits come despite the club's perfect 14-0 record this season.

Coach Dan Murphy confirmed the squad is already preparing for life without the trio, with recruitment underway. Gloucester Hartpury recently secured contract extensions for key players including Alex Matthews and Maud Muir. The team has a home semi-final locked up and will pursue their fourth consecutive championship without three foundational players.
