Argentina lock Matias Alemanno will depart Gloucester this summer after making 99 appearances for the Premiership side. The 34-year-old joins 11 other first-team players exiting Kingsholm ahead of next season, marking a significant squad overhaul under head coach George Skivington.

Prop Kirill Gotovtsev retires following 87 matches since 2021, while Tomos Williams moves to Saracens and Cam Jordan joins Newcastle. Academy graduate Jake Morris also leaves after five seasons. Skivington praised Alemanno as a 'proper warrior' who never complained and always prioritized team interests.

The departing players have accumulated almost 450 appearances for the club, creating substantial gaps in the roster. However, Skivington confirmed recruitment plans are nearly complete, stating they've made their 'last necessary signing' with the bulk of squad building already done.

Incoming signings include Phil Cokanasiga, Jac Morgan and Dewi Lake from Ospreys for the 2026-27 campaign, plus Dan Robson's return after 11 years away. The focus shifts to Saturday's season finale against Newcastle, where Gloucester chase a top-eight finish and European qualification in what promises to be an emotional farewell.
