The Hundred will debut a new trophy this summer that rewards combined men's and women's team performances. Both competitions, running as double headers since 2021, will now contribute points toward this unified silverware alongside the existing individual trophies. Group stage results, eliminators, and finals all count toward the new award.

England all-rounder Will Jacks praised the innovation, noting his former team Oval Invincibles would have fared well under this system. Tammy Beaumont, moving to Birmingham Phoenix from Welsh Fire, highlighted how the format reinforces equality in cricket. She emphasized that playing on the same day in identical colours creates a unique selling point that has strengthened the women's game since The Hundred's inception.

The change comes as The Hundred undergoes major restructuring in 2026 following approximately £500m in external investment across its eight franchises. Teams are rebranding with IPL connections, including MI London adopting Mumbai Indians' blue and gold colours after their investment. Sunrisers Leeds now wears orange instead of purple, matching their parent franchise's identity.

Southern Brave switched to blue and red reflecting Delhi Capitals ownership, while Manchester Originals become Manchester Super Giants in Lucknow Super Giants colours. These changes signal a shift toward stronger commercial ties with Indian cricket while maintaining the tournament's commitment to gender equality on the field.
