St Helens pulled off a remarkable 34-24 victory over Wigan Warriors in the Good Friday derby at the BrewDog Stadium, with loanee Bill Leyland scoring twice in the final three minutes. The Saints trailed 24-10 with just over 10 minutes remaining but mounted an incredible comeback to secure the win.

Wigan had taken a narrow 12-10 halftime lead through tries from Harry Smith and Jack Farrimond, with Adam Keighran converting both. Jai Field marked his return from appendicitis with a try in the second half, and Zack Eckersley also crossed to extend Wigan's advantage. Saints, missing double figures of their first team due to injuries and suspension, had brought in Leyland and Jordan Dezaria on one-week loans from Hull KR.

Leyland's heroics included a close-range effort followed by a breakaway after a Wigan error to seal the dramatic victory. Jackson Hastings and Tristan Sailor also scored in the final quarter as the Saints faithful celebrated what Saints captain Lewis Dodd called "one of the greatest comebacks I've ever seen." The result keeps St Helens' Super League title hopes alive while dealing a blow to Wigan's ambitions.
