South Africa 43-0 Wales in dialing down the gap in the Nations Championship. The Springboks, led on the field by Jasper Wiese and backed by key tries from Cobus Reinach, Jessie Kriel, Jaco Williams, Kurt‑Lee Arendse, Herschel Jantjies, and Paul de Villiers, secured a six‑try bonus‑point win in Durban. The victory came without star names such as captain Siya Kolisi, Cheslin Kolbe, Ox Nche, or Eben Etzebeth, all of whom were absent from the lineup.

While Wales suffered aorrido, the loss was less humiliating than the 73‑0 rout in Cardiff last November, yet the result underlined the gulf between the two sides. Steve Tandy’s side failed to score, with their attack appearing limited and the aggregate score over the last two encounters standing at 116‑0. It was an 11th successive win for South Africa, cementing their top spot in the world rankings, while Wales fell to 12th.

The Springboks also topped the northern‑hemisphere table at the halfway stage, following victories over England, Scotland, and Fiji. Head coach Rassie Erasmus made 10 changes, with young Vusi Moyo earning his first cap at 20. The win was a clear statement of the Springboks’ dominance in the tournament.
