Sky Brown has claimed her second world skateboarding championship title in the park event at the World Skateboarding Championships in Sao Paolo, Brazil, despite a rain-shortened final.

The 17-year-old British star led the standings with a score of 88.16 points before organisers halted the competition due to heavy rain. Japan's Mizuho Hasegawa secured silver with 84.36 points, while American Minna Stess took bronze with 83.90 points. Brown's victory marks her second world title after winning park gold in Sharjah, UAE, last year at just 14 years old.

Brown also holds the distinction of being Britain's youngest Olympic medalist ever, winning park bronze at the Tokyo 2020 Games as a 13-year-old. Her latest triumph underscores her dominance in the sport and comes on International Women's Day, adding symbolic weight to her achievement.

This win reinforces Brown's status as a global skateboarding icon and sets the stage for her participation in the Paris 2024 Olympics, where she will compete in the newly added park event.
