World number one Aryna Sabalenka dominated Zheng Qinwen 6-3, 6-4 in just 85 minutes at the Miami Open, advancing to the quarterfinals. The reigning champion, who has won the US Open in each of the past two years, showcased her top form against the Chinese player.

Fourth seed Coco Gauff also reached the last eight with a 6-3, 4-6, 6-2 victory over Sorana Cirstea. The American, playing in her home tournament, struggled with six double faults and five breaks but persevered. Gauff's next opponent will be either Amanda Anisimova or Belinda Bencic.

Gauff entered the event after retiring from her third-round match at Indian Wells due to a nerve problem in her left arm. The 22-year-old said she feels more supported than pressured at Miami, where she's eager to win but keeping expectations realistic after her recent injury concerns.
