"First I want to give my condolences to Fin's family, friends, team – everyone," said the UAE Team Emirates rider. "It's been a rough couple of days. I can imagine what they're suffering." He added that the win was for Fin's family and teammates, emphasizing the emotional support from his own family in Porto.

Oliveira celebrated with a Porto football shirt, noting he passed near his home four times, which gave him extra motivation. The event highlighted the cycling community's solidarity, honoring Tarling's memory while competition continued, underscoring the profound impact on riders and fans alike.
