Olympic champion Rhys McClenaghan is set to compete again after 18 months sidelined by a shoulder injury. The Newtownards gymnast, who won gold in Paris, hasn't competed since his triumph and will make his comeback at the Apparatus World Cup in Baku, Azerbaijan, from March 5th.

McClenaghan admits he'll be nervous facing the pressure of competition once more, calling it 'part of the fun' and essential preparation for future major events like the Commonwealth Games and World Championships. He acknowledges the challenge from younger gymnasts entering the senior ranks, stating he's 'up for the challenge' to prove himself against the new generation of pommel horse specialists.
