British boxer Raven Chapman was airlifted to a hospital in Denmark on 24 July after collapsing during a sparring session. The 32‑year‑old former world‑title challenger was diagnosed with a brain haematoma and cerebral oedema and underwent emergency surgery to stop the bleeding and reduce the swelling. She was then placed in a medically induced coma.

Her management company, Vote Boxing, said she has been taken off sedatives the past day and is receiving treatment while awaiting medically supervised repatriation to a hospital in the UK. The rehabilitation is expected to take time.

Chapman has won 10 professional fights with two losses. She lost to Skye Nicolson for the WBC featherweight title in October 2024, the only women's world‑title fight ever held in Saudi Arabia. Vote Boxing remains hopeful, noting that her doctors are doing everything to support her recovery.

A Go Fund Me page has been launched and messages of support have poured in from the boxing community, including former promoter Frank Warren. His statement on X reads: “Raven is fully in my thoughts… We’re all hoping you can pull through.”
