Perth Scorchers secured a record-extending sixth Big Bash League title with a dominant six-wicket win over Sydney Sixers in the 2025-26 final at Optus Stadium. The Sixers were dismissed for 132, with David Payne taking 3-18, before Mitchell Marsh and Finn Allen's 80-run opening stand guided the hosts to victory with 15 balls to spare.

The Scorchers, who finished top of the group stage, had already beaten the Sixers in the Qualifier to guarantee a home final. Their cohesive unit, led by captain Marsh, has now won six of the 15 BBL editions. The Sixers, the league's second-most successful franchise with three titles, saw their challenge falter on a tricky pitch.

Chasing 133, Perth's openers set the platform before the middle order, including Josh Inglis (29*), calmly sealed the win. For the Sixers, the early loss of the toss proved costly, and they now face the challenge of rebuilding after their third final defeat. The Scorchers' dynasty continues.
