Karolina Muchova saved a match point and survived an epic tie-break to defeat Coco Gauff 6-2, 1-6, 7-6 (12-10) in the Wimbledon semi-finals. The Czech secured her first Wimbledon final appearance after a thrilling contest on Centre Court.

Gauff, a two-time Grand Slam champion, fought back from 4-1 down in the deciding set tie-break and held a match point of her own. However, a forehand error into the net from Gauff, followed by Muchova converting her second match point, ended the intense two-hour, 35-minute battle.

Muchova will face either Linda Noskova or Marta Kostyuk in the final. The 29-year-old's victory marks her second Grand Slam final appearance, having reached the French Open final in 2023. This also continues a trend of Czech players reaching the Wimbledon final in recent years.
