Rugby league legend Kevin Sinfield will complete his seventh and final fundraising challenge to support Motor Neurone Disease charities. Dubbed '7 in 7: The Grand Finale,' the 45-year-old will run 45km daily between Hull and Manchester from September 27 to October 3, visiting all 12 English Super League grounds.

Since launching his first MND challenge in 2020, Sinfield has raised over £11m for the cause, inspired by former teammate Rob Burrow who passed away in June 2024 after living with the disease for 4.5 years. Funds will benefit multiple organizations including the MND Association and Leeds Hospital Charity.

The seven-day route traverses Yorkshire, Greater Manchester, and Merseyside, with a poignant pass near Burrow's hometown of Pontefract. Each day consists of seven 7km segments, and local supporters can join Sinfield for mile-long segments throughout the journey.

Sinfield, who played his entire career with Leeds Rhinos alongside Burrow, described the effort as a collective achievement. 'Our team have done a wonderful job,' he told BBC Breakfast. The challenge marks the end of an era for one of Super League's most successful players.
