Keely Hodgkinson says she is proud of her ability to continue to fight after taking silver behind Audrey Werro at the European Athletics Championships. The 24‑year‑old reflects stk on the journey that culminated in her Paris Olympic gold, after three straight global silvers against Athing Mu and Mary Moraa.

Her European reign was snapped in Birmingham, where Werro broke a 1982 record and claimed gold. The result has Hodgkinson facing a fresh wave of world‑class rivals, including Dutch star Femke Broeders‑Bol, world 800m champion Lilian Odira and training partner Georgia Hunter Bell.
